General Topics

Who can we collaborate with (research institutions, NGOs abroad)? In general, we can collaborate with research institutes given that we don't take away paid positions from student research assistants, there is a data4good connection (not only pure research. citizen science or similar is also ok) and the researchers have clearly understood the concept of CorrelAid (i.e. we are volunteers, "win win situation" etc.). Frie emphasized that collaborations with research institutes are different from case to case, and if we have a collaboration opportunity and questions on the feasibility we can get back to the core team to talk about it. We can always collaborate with NPOs abroad, but Correlaid cannot spend money outside of Germany.

Organizational Topics

Distribution of organizational tasks (as Eva is leaving the Chapter) - Lara will check the Hamburg email inbox roughly once a week - Sarah will regularly check on progress made in project acquisition Meeting Frequency and time We discussed reducing the meeting frequency and moving the meetings to 7 pm to make it easier for Chapter members to join the Chapter calls. The proposal was approved by all present and unanimously accepted. Chapter calls now take place once a month, every last Wednesday of the month at 7 pm. Access to Correlaid Hamburg email account We decided to request Correlaid email accounts for all members interested, so potential partners can be contacted using a Correlaid email address. For future reference, email accounts can be set up by the core team. Project acquisition: Sarah contacted Liam Bailey from CorrelaidxBerlin, who originally informed us about Viva con Agua's interest in a collaboration. Liam will try to get in touch with VcA.
