TOP3: CorrelAidX strategy

  • following CorrelCons strategy session, who would be interested in joining the process for the local chapters?

  • first brainstorming here: mural

    • how to improve knowledge management

      • improve /expand exchange between LCs (NPOs that were contacted, projects in the pipeline, challenges, best practices, etc.)

      • provide new LCs with "starterkit"

    • maybe: how to scale beyond Europe

  • Event will be held on Dec 1st (~19:00)

    • OceanNow have committed and given a data pitch

    • Still hoping for other NGO, but running out of time :/

  • Finished our 3rd iteration of our bookclub. Looking for new recommendations.

  • Our internal project on far-right Telegram groups got coverage on NYT

  • Introduced lightning talk format (5-10min to introduce something cool you've learnt)

Netherlands

  • Data Dialogue togehter with the Berlin Chapter

  • Get-together on November 22

    München

  • Naklar.io project: first meeting

  • interview with BR

  • Want to do a video wich introduces CorrelAid; If anyone is interested we are happy about every help

Hamburg

  • started reaching out to NPOs, haven't heard back from them, looking for new projects

Köln / Bonn (#LC-West)

  • new slack channel

  • Starting with a small data project on bikes to get started :bicyclist:

  • meeting with LC Konstanz? (LC-Konstanz from the void: it was great!)

Konstanz

  • ongoing internal project with OpenData Konstanz

    • building two packages (R/Python) as a wrapper for the API

  • cooperation with the future chapter in switzerland

  • thinking about assigning more fixed roles/a hierarchy

Karlsruhe

  • Projects:

    • Weltladen Project has been extended for a Part 2 - looking for a new Project Lead (R, German language)
